Dear Friends,
As I reflect on the past several months, I am filled with gratitude. With your faithful support, Harvest Hands continues to grow in ways we could only have imagined a few short years ago. Every donation, every hour volunteered, every prayer, every shared post, every food donation, and every word of encouragement has played a part in making this mission possible.
Together, we are rescuing good food that would have otherwise ended up in a landfill and placing it into the hands of families, seniors, children, and individuals who need it most. Food that once had nowhere to go is now filling cupboards, preparing meals, and bringing hope to communities across Southern Ontario.
That is your impact.
What encourages me even more is that we are only getting started. Every week, new opportunities are arising. New partnerships, expanded food rescue programs, exciting social enterprise initiatives, and plans for our future home are all creating opportunities to serve more people than ever before. We believe the best is yet to come, and we can’t wait to share these milestones with you as they unfold.
None of this happens without people like you.
Thank you for believing in the mission of Harvest Hands. Thank you for standing beside us through every season. Your continued faithfulness allows us to say “yes” when a truckload of food needs rescuing, “yes” when another community organization needs support, and “yes” to building a stronger, more compassionate future together.
As you read this first edition of the Harvest Hands Chronicles, I hope you feel encouraged by the stories inside. They are more than updates — they are reminders that when a community comes together, extraordinary things happen.
On behalf of our volunteers and the hundreds of organizations we are privileged to serve, thank you for being part of this journey.
The future is bright, and we’re so grateful to have you walking alongside us.
With sincere appreciation,
Jim Collins
President & Co-Founder, Harvest Hands Canada
P.S. Please consider giving monthly to provide sustainability throughout the year, especially as we approach the winter months.
